On 19th August, the Humanitarian Day, we celebrate the indomitable spirit of the human race. No matter the trials we face, no matter the obstacles that stand in our way, we possess an unbreakable resilience that allows us to rise up, to overcome, and to uplift one another.
This is the essence of CARA's work. As an organization dedicated to empowering African refugees and IDPs, we bear witness every day to the strength of the human spirit. We see it in the eyes of a mother who fled violence, determined to build a better life for her children. We see it in the ambition of a young man, a former child survivor, who dreams of becoming a doctor. We see it in the laughter of children, who in the face of unimaginable hardship, find joy in the smallest moments.
This Humanitarian Day 2024, we invite you to join us in honoring that spirit - the spirit that transcends borders, that breaks down barriers, that reminds us of our common humanity. Through our collective efforts, we can create a future where no child is left behind, where education becomes a beacon of hope for the most vulnerable among us.
That is why we are launching a special fundraising drive with the goal of sending 1,000 refugee and IDP children to school in the 2024-2025 academic year. Education is the key that unlocks boundless opportunities, empowering young minds to become the leaders, the innovators, the change-makers of tomorrow under our flagship “Refugee and IDPs Children Education” (RICE) Program.
Nonetheless the road to the classroom is not an easy one for refugee and IDP families. They face immense financial burdens, scarce resources, and systemic challenges that threaten to extinguish the dreams of their children. That is where you, through CARA steps in, providing scholarships, school supplies, and wraparound support to ensure that every child has the chance to succeed.
Join us as we rally around this cause. Your donation , no matter how small, can make a profound difference in the life of a child. Together, we can prove that the human race is defined not by the hardships we endure, but by the compassion we extend to one another.
Because no matter what, we are in this together. No matter what, we will rise up, hand in hand, to build a future where every child can flourish. No matter what, the human race will prevail.
Donate now to support CARA's mission of empowering refugee and IDP children through education. Help us reach our goal of 1,000 pupils and students in the 2024-2025 school year.
